About

Early in 2023, Pastor Thys Dupont and Mrs Estelle Koster had a casual discussion around education and the importance thereof. Past. Thys shared his dreams to, among other things, offer high quality education, based on Christian values and principles, to the people in eSwatini. Estelle couldn’t agree more and shared her passion for education and for the empowerment and upliftment of others – and from this talk, RUACH Education came into being. Throughout this journey, from the initial “casual chat” to becoming a “fully-fledged school”, God’s hand was clearly at work and He stirred the hearts of many to lock arms with the leadership team so that high-level education can be made available in our area and for this, we will be eternally grateful.

WHO WE ARE

RUACH Education has a clear identity as a Christian school which comes through in the care of each other and shapes our expectations for relationships and behaviour.  We believe that our learners deserve the very best education possible both in terms of the curriculum and of their development as individuals. We believe in raising up children with Strength, Sincerity, Integrity and Compassion – Children who care about the world and are true heirs to the future!

OUR VALUES

Christian values are central to our school and we are strong in the belief that every child matters. RUACH Education’s Christian ethos is at the core of what we believe in school. 

 We educate our learners and community at large by teaching Christian values such as: Love, Responsibility, Generosity, Honesty, Respect, Service, Thankfulness, Compassion, Endurance, Creativity, Righteousness (Justice), Peace, Wisdom, Hope, Humility, Courage, and the like and believe that these are important keys to establishing successful relationships in school and in daily life.  The focus is not simply on knowing what a value means but rather how to live it within and beyond our school community. We believe these values are empowering our learners to develop their spirituality and guiding them in personal development as effective learners and good citizens

Our heart’s desires are that every learner, irrespective of their age, who enters the school gates will be Spiritually and Academically equipped for their future and will impact the lives of others within their respective communities and spheres of reference in a positive way. 

 

As such, OUR AIMS ARE:

  • To provide a nurturing, Christian environment
  • To work as a team in harmony with learners, their parents, our staff and our community at large, supporting and encouraging one another
  • To model Christian Values in our day-to-day living and being good role models for the learners and community at large
  • To provide an education that prepares young minds to be creative, compassionate and innovative adults.
  • To instil confidence in the learner and provide a sense of social and environmental responsibility.
  • To achieve high standard of academic excellence.
  • To help each learner discover his/her uniqueness and to provide opportunities to enhance their skills.
  • To create an atmosphere of purposeful endeavour so that they learn to take pride in their achievements.
  • To sensitise the young minds towards present day social conditions and encourage them to be instrumental in the change required.
  • To contribute to the building up of integrated and loving families.
  • To help become emotionally balanced individuals so that they enjoy life and shoulder responsibilities equally well

WE ARE COMMITTED TO:

  • providing a stimulating education which enhances learners’ enjoyment and confidence and helps them reach their full potential.

  • educating children for hope and aspiration by fostering an understanding of right and wrong

We promote our VISION by living our school motto found in Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it

The original context of this Scripture reveals that it is a warning to parents, caregivers, educators etc that if they don’t discipline and instruct their children in a wise way, then their children are going to make foolish choices and continue to do so when they grow up. The discerning parent, caregiver, educator etc is aware of this and carefully considers how to guide the child to become self-aware and self-controlled so that they will learn to make wise decisions in their youth and continue to do so the rest of his life.
